North Little Rock, Arkansas.

  1. What is your favorite verse, book or story in the Bible? Why?

Mark 2 about a paralyzed man’s friends, who were so determined to help their friend that they dug through the roof to get him to Jesus.

It’s the story of the incredible power of community to be a conduit of gospel healing.

  1. What is your favorite movie? Why?

“Michael Clayton.”

Amid corporate greed, conspiracy, murder and suspense, this movie’s core theme is personal identity, the protagonist’s search for self amid chaos.

  1. Who are three people you admire?

Jimmy Carter; Suzii Paynter, former executive coordinator of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship; and Jimmy Dorrell, president and co-founder of Mission Waco and pastor of Church Under the Bridge in Waco, Texas.

  1. What is one little-known fact about yourself?

During college summers, I worked in an engineering office for the Arkansas Highway Department.
