1. Where did you grow up?

On a farm in southeast Kansas.

2. What is your favorite verse, book or story in the Bible? Why?

The Prodigal Son (Luke 15).

One understands the fullness of the gospel in this one story that sounds so much like it comes from the narratives of our own lives.

3. What is your favorite movie? Why?

"Blazing Saddles."

It skewers much of what's ailing America still to this day.

4. Who are three people you admire?

Molly T. Marshall, Will Campbell and Jasper Fforde (Welsh writer).

5. What is one little known fact about yourself?

My wife proposed to me at the Green Lake Conference Center with a ring she had fashioned in the GLCC lapidary shop using coprolite.
