David George is president of the WMU Foundation.

1. Where did you grow up?

Birmingham, Alabama.

2. What is your favorite verse, book or story in the Bible? Why?

John 16:33.

Knowing that God has overcome, keeps me from giving up.

3. What is your favorite movie? Why?

"It's a Wonderful Life."

At each stage of my life, I have always been able to relate to this movie.

4. Who are three people you admire?

Former Alabama Governor Albert Brewer, Dellanna O'Brien (former National WMU executive director/treasurer) and Rebekah Naylor (Baptist medical missionary in India from 1974 to 2002).

5. What is one little known-fact about yourself?

My original career goal was to be an ambassador for the U.S. government.
