Profiles in Goodwill: Chuck Summers

Chuck Summers, an EthicsDaily.com columnist, grew up in Paducah, Kentucky.
Chuck Summers is a pastor of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Henderson, Kentucky, and an avid nature photographer.

Chuck's articles that have appeared on EthicsDaily.com are available here. Several of his photos have appeared on the site as well.

1. Where did you grow up?

Paducah, Kentucky.

2. What is your favorite Bible verse, book or story? Why?

Psalm 34:8.

It encourages us to "taste and see" that God is good, and the part about seeing is important to me as a photographer.

3. What is your favorite movie? Why?

"Fiddler on the Roof."

I like this movie both because of the music and how the main character models prayer as a way of life.

4. Who are three of the people you admire?

John Muir, Bono and Thomas Merton.

5. What is one little known fact about yourself?

I wanted to be an astronaut when I was a child.
