What’s the Program: The program will include a partial screening of our documentary DVD “Different Books, Common Word: Baptists and Muslims" and an audience conversation about what goodwill Baptists can do to improve relationships with their Muslim neighbors.
"Different Books, Common Word: Baptists and Muslims" aired on more than 130 ABC-TV stations across the country in January and February 2010. It features five stories from across the country of Baptists and Muslims working together to advance the common good. It has already been shown in various Baptist, Muslim and interfaith programs across the country.
Also at the luncheon, Emmanuel McCall will be presented with the 2009 "Baptist of the Year" award. Read more about this distinction here.
