		<content type="html">Jim Somerville is the 16th pastor of Richmond&#039;s First Bapist Church, founded in 1780. He earned a master&#039;s degree and a doctorate from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. His articles and sermons have been published in Christian Century, The Upper Room, Preaching Great Texts and elsewhere. He was also one of the featured preachers at the Festival of Homiletics at the Washington National Cathedral in 2004. He and his wife, Christine, have two daughters.</content>
